This is an essay about me that was sent to one of my lecturers. The story, the sentence, the grammar, it is like a primary school standard. I know! But I really have no idea what to tell others about me. There is nothing interesting about it :S
When I was young, I always thought about many ridiculous things. For instance, I thought that I came from the moon, there was a boogie man under my bed, and doctors were alien. However, mother told me that it was only my imagination and there were no such things in this real world. I started to think rationally and asked everyone around about that. I guess mother was right. There is no such thing in this real world. She also explained a few things about me. She said my name, Aqilah means intelligent and beautiful (it does not reflect me I think -_-"). I was born on 16th January and according to my star sign, the Capricorn is a hardworking, dependable, like to be active and love adventure, believe strongly in freedom and they do not change their mind easily (again it does not reflect me!).
In my early childhood, I like to play video games and my all time favourite is Mario Brothers. I like to watch cartoons too and this is one thing that has stayed with me throughout my life. As I grew into girlhood, I started to love outdoor activities like camping, bicycling, and running. I also like to play volleyball. I was one of the state players for Selangor and after I finished the primary school, I got an offer to continue my study at Bukit Jalil Sports School. However, my parents refused to send me there because they were afraid that I might ignore my study. I have to obey that even though I was a bit disappointed with that decision. Now that I am on the threshold of adulthood, my world has grown to include exciting friends and a new environment of life.
For many years, I have been interested in studying astronomy. My interest in pursuing this field stems from several factors which have affected me. First, I would like to study the mysteries of the universe. Astronomy is a science that seeks to explain everything that we observe in the universe, from the comets and planets in our own solar system to distant galaxies to the echoes of the Big Bang. Second, I am fascinated by physics. I believe, through the study of astronomy, I can effectively satisfy my curiosity in this field. However, there is no specific course for astronomy or astrophysics here in Malaysia. Therefore, my mother directed me to further study in law. Since mother knows best, I gave up on my interest and applied for Pre-Degree in Law at Mara University of Technology (UiTM).
I had never dreamt of becoming a lawyer in my entire life. This is due to the fact that I am not good at history, language and diplomacy. Besides that, I have this mind-setting that it is expensive to become a lawyer. The fees – if I did not further my study in UiTM, the attire, the books and journals, and the high cost in maintaining the practice. Other than that, my soft skills is weak and I can hardly deal with people effectively. However, during my study, I am developing this skill and the courses, pre-degree and Bachelor of Legal Studies (BLS) has taught me a lot. I am more confident to communicate with others; I am able to express my thoughts, and I am still developing the skills up until now. I manage to complete my pre-degree, and I have also graduated from UiTM’s Bachelor in Legal Studies (BLS) on time.
Besides study, in order to gain more experience and to enjoy my campus life, I joined this uniformed body called SUKSIS which stands for ‘Sukarelawan Polis Siswa Siswi’ for six semesters. I was commissioned as a voluntary police inspector on 19th June 2010 by the former Inspector General of Police, Tan Sri Musa Hassan. It was really one of the sweetest moment of mine.
Now, when I look at the picture of myself, I realize how much I have grown and changed, not only physically, but also mentally as a person in the last couple of years. The picture was taken on the day of my commission as a voluntary police inspector. Less than one month after this photograph was taken, I have registered myself at UiTM as a law student, without any idea of what to expect. I enrolled my first semester of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) as an innocent one. I am one of the partners of Nuraini Roslan & Associates from group G. I was a bit scared of this course before because I heard the rumours that this course is so tough that you do not even have time for your own self. Now that I have entered the second semester, the focuses in my life have changed dramatically. I think I am able to manage my time wisely and I am mentally prepared.
At first, before I enrol this course, I expected that this course is just the same as BLS. However, I was wrong. After the classes began, the first thing I get acquainted with is not actually the legal principles, but more of the rules of daily practice. Simple matters like filing documents in court, effecting service of documents and drafting, all becomes part of the routine. I do not think this is taught at other law schools at other local universities in Malaysia. What else could I ask for? I just hope that I will complete this course with flying colours and the future is yet to be decided.
As the college experience approaches, I am still the same person, only modified to better maximize my talents. Although I still have some time to play volleyball and see movies, perhaps one of the few similarities between this photograph and me now is my smile.

SUKSIS oh SUKSIS :)
Few weeks back, I was attending SUKSIS training for Majlis Perbarisan Tamat Latihan & Penyampaian Sijil Kor SUKSIS Semalaysia 2010. It was held in UM and the training was for 2 weeks.
First week, latihan kawad best tapi tak laratlah sebab asyik kena dengar SM Said(oh harap-harap SM tak baca hahaa) membebel. Haih. Second week, Tuan Rahman telah mengadakan rampasan kuasa. And time ni barulah kami sedar kenapa UiTM dibenci. Hahaa. But who cares? Kan kan. I am so proud to part of UiTM! :) Second week dah terasa macam sekejap je. Aktiviti paling menarik minggu ini ialah poco-poco. It was so much fun doing it! :DD
19th June 2010 - Majlis Perbarisan Tamat Latihan & Penyampaian Sijil Kor SUKSIS Semalaysia 2010.
The event started at 0715 am. It was okay and thank God ucapan VC UM dan Raja Dr. Nazrin kejap je. Kalau tak, confirm ramai yang pengsan. Hahaa. Tapi masa habis perbarisan, tiba-tiba je keluar air mata. We have made it! Dengan jayanya! Sangat memuaskan hati :) Ada juga senior Skuad 3 yang datang tengok kami. Suka~~ Sebab Skuad 4 memang dah dimanjakan oleh Skuad 3. Hahahaaa :PP Oh oh. I am so in love dengan Pancaragam PDRM. Mereka sangat attractive! Hahahaa :D
Then, kena rush pegi dewan pula untuk penyampaian sijil. Tukar tudung, stokin, kasut dalam bas. Memang sangat tercemarlah udara dalam bas tu. Hahaa. Sorry encik driver bas. Haish. Lapar kot! Hm redha je laa.
Next, kami ada majlis bersama jurulatih. Kami masuk baris, buat perlahan jalan sambil nyanyi lagu bertemu dan berpisah. Sangat touching okay! Memang tak boleh tahan dah air mata ni. Lepas tu kena jumpa jurulatih sorang-sorang. Time ni lagi la sedih! Jurulatih pun speechless. They love us so much, and we love them more! :\
Malam, kami ada dinner. Tak berapa menariklah. Semua pon tak sabar nak balik kolej. Lepas je Tan Sri Musa Hassan balik, kami pon terus berlari-lari naik bas. Boring kot. Hahaaa. Tapi malam tu budak lelaki dah beli kek utk jurulatih. So malam tu ada lagi la aktiviti dengan jurulatih. Kami nyanyi lagu memori tercipta. And again, menyentuh perasaan juga. Sedih. We are just like one big loving family. Masa makan kek tu, mereka siap main baling-baling krim la pulak. Cis. nasib baik sempat menyelamatkan diri. Ish ishh.
So, overall, 2 weeks in UM did give quite a big impact to us. We spent most of the time together. We took care of each other, had our meal together, practice together, share the laugh and tears all together. We just love each other. This will be my most precious memories ever and hopefully our friendship will last forever. Ameen.
And that was the last chapter of Skuad 4 :(
Our guardian angels hahaa :D

Daddy's (little) girl :)
I do not know why but suddenly I want to re-post my entry about my hero. He is very kind-hearted even though his face does not look so friendly. He does not talk too much but he has his own perspectives. He loves maths and puzzles yet he is a very simple person. He is the only man in me, and it will always be.
He treated me as an adult but he always knew that I am still his little girl.

Bored to the max! :S
Hi. I am bored like hell. I should be studying right now. Association Law II. My next paper will be on Wednesday. But I dont feel like doing so. Oh spirit, please come to me! :\
Last Saturday, my elder sister had just got engaged with her boyfriend, Yusni. Since both of them are residing in Dublin at the moment, so this event was done through webcam. It is kinda cool to me. The best part is, it was also a big family gathering where as usual, the mumsies will be at the kitchen, gossiping. The daddies will be at the porch, smoking. Us, will be at the hall doing stupid stuffs. And the small soldiers will be everywhere. This will only happens during hari raya. So that was a bonus and it was fun! :)
I also have a long conversation with Kak Long that day. There are many things that need to be done before her wedding on this October. I hope I can help it during this semester break.
Semester break. I am thinking of doing attachment again, but I will not be able to make it full for a month. I have camping on May 18th at Gunung Berembun, Terengganu. Wahh, dah lama tak ber-campping! Seronok :D However, this time the roommates will not be joining because they will do their attachments. Haih. I just cannot imagine. Hopefully it will be okay. After camping, there will be a Pulau Duyung homecoming programme. Darn. Seganlah! Tak nak pergi boleh tak? Tapi nak mencandat sutun je. Hehee. Then, on June 9th, we will have our two weeks training for passing out. Yeay! Bertambahlah gelap. Hahaa.
Oh. I need to jog. Like seriously! Sudah buncitlah. Oh nooo~~ Will arrange the schedule later, even though it is an established fact that AQILA + SCHEDULE = NEVER WORK! Hehee :DD Gambatte kudasai!
And I am so~ in love with this! crack, crack, crack, crack :DD
