A Letter.

First and foremost, I am Nuraqilah binti Abdul Nasir. I am 20 years old and I would like to further my study in Victoria University of Wellington in Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in the year of 2009.

I want to further my study in Victoria University of Wellington (VUW) because this university is particularly well known for its law programme. I have checked the status with Public Service Department of Malaysia and they have approved that the degree form VUW is recognized by Malaysian government. I prefer to further my study in VUW is because I believe that; no disrespect to Malaysian education system, the overseas education system is well established and produced exceptional graduates. And I would like to be one of those. Besides that, I want to improve my English language because it is very important nowadays. Basically, it will help me to communicate and process information more accurately. In the near future, this will help me in obtaining a good career since English is the main important criteria in order to get a job. Apart from that, by studying abroad, I can improve my soft skills, especially my communication skill. In VUW, I can meet many kind of people with different cultures and I can mix around with them. This may build my confidence in dealing with people indirectly. This limb is very important to me because it helps me in achieving my intended career, to be a diplomatic. Moreover, my friends who further their study at this university also recommended to me to further my study at VUW.

New Zealand appeals to me as my study destination mainly because of the education system, the system of government, the temperate climate and the unique culture. Basically, I first heard about education in New Zealand from Dr. Mazlan Othman. She is the first woman to take a PhD in physics at Otago, and when she returned to Malaysia she became Malaysia’s first astrophysicist. This means that New Zealand has a great education system. Beside that, the government system of New Zealand is slightly similar the government system of Malaysia -- Westminster system. It would be easier for me to understand New Zealand’s legal system. Also, New Zealand has a temperate climate. I think such weather is comfortable for study purposes as well as for outdoor activities. Furthermore, New Zealand has a unique and dynamic culture. The culture of its indigenous Maori people affects the language, the arts, and even the accents of all New Zealanders. Their place in the South Pacific and their love of the outdoors, sport, and the arts make New Zealanders and their culture unique in the world. I really want to experience this. I want to gain the knowledge of my proposed study as much as I can, as well as to experience the different environment of a foreign country with a multicultural people.

Therefore, from the justification above, I do hope that you will consider my application to further my study in New Zealand. Thank you. :))

Dream.

This morning.. I had a dream. A weird one. I dont really remember the dream. But it keeps on spinning in my mind. It was about the superstitious thingy. I'm not sure but all I know now I have become a person who is full of fear. I just feel insecure. I dont know how to let go this feelings, how to share it with others. Is this a sign? Oh God.. please do help me! :((
